Your chance to own a piece of film history
Lee Knight’s (writer and director) moving and important A Friend of Dorothy
Miriam Margolyes and Alistair Nwachukwu -
film still copyright reserved
I was delighted to be asked to loan some of my paintings to a small film production. It’s so important to me to support other creatives that I agreed at once, deliberately selecting works of different styles, to give the impression of a collection created over time.
Little did I know then, that Lee Knight’s A Friend of Dorothy featuring national treaures Miriam Margolyes and Stephen Fry and wonderful newcomer Alistair Nwachukwu would be Acadamy Award (Oscar) Nominated and shown all over the world and feaured in magazines and TV interviews.
Not only “set dressing” - my paintings are used to create psychological impact. My master-copy of "Abel Tot” after Francois Xavier Fabre, is shown extensively and sets the mood as the background for Dorothy’s life.
